1. Who we are
Race Advisor Edge is operated by Anonymous Ginger Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 08236514, whose registered office is at International House, 109-111 Fulham Palace Road, London, United Kingdom, W6 8JA. Our VAT number is GB143522830.
We trade as Race Advisor. In these terms, “we”, “us” and “our” mean Anonymous Ginger Ltd. “You” and “your” mean the person using Edge.
You can reach us at [email protected].
2. What these terms cover
These terms are the contract between you and us for your use of Race Advisor, including the website, the tools, the racing data and the AI tools.
Two other documents sit alongside them:
- Our Privacy Policy, which explains what we do with your personal information.
- Any product-specific terms shown on the sales page for an individual product. Where those differ from these terms, the product page wins for that product.
By creating an account or buying a subscription you accept these terms.
3. Age and eligibility
You must be 18 or over to use Race Advisor. We may ask you to verify your age and we may close accounts where we believe this requirement is not met.
Race Advisor is aimed at users in the United Kingdom. If you are outside the UK, it is your responsibility to satisfy yourself that you may lawfully use a service of this kind where you live.
4. What Race Advisor is, and what it is not
Race Advisor provides horse racing analysis, ratings and data, together with tools for working with them.
It is for information and entertainment. Nothing on Race Advisor is betting advice, financial advice, or a recommendation to place any bet.
We do not take bets. We do not accept stakes, hold customer funds, settle bets or provide any facility through which you can gamble. Betting is something you do elsewhere, with a bookmaker or exchange of your choosing, at your own risk and on their terms.
We are not a tipping service. Race Advisor is built to help you form your own view. Where we publish selections, ratings or shortlists, they are the output of our analysis and nothing more.
Before you place any bet, check the bookmaker’s or exchange’s own terms.
5. Free access, free accounts and free emails
Parts of Race Advisor are free. You can view racecards, results and certain tools without paying, and some of them without registering at all.
Where a free feature needs an account, registering is free and does not commit you to buying anything.
Where you opt in to a free email, we send it until you unsubscribe. Every email carries an unsubscribe link and unsubscribing takes effect promptly.
We may change or withdraw free features at any time. These terms apply to your use of the free parts of the service just as they do to the paid parts, apart from the sections about payment.
6. Your account
You need an account for most of what we do. You must give accurate registration details and keep them up to date.
Your account is for you alone. Do not share your login, and do not let anyone else use your access. You are responsible for what happens on your account.
Tell us as soon as you can if you think someone else has got into your account.
7. Subscriptions, pricing and payment
We sell several products. Some are recurring subscriptions billed monthly or annually, some give access for a single day, and some are one-off purchases.
The price that applies is the price shown at checkout. Current prices for each product are on that product’s page. All prices include VAT at the applicable rate.
Before you pay, we show you the total price, how often you will be charged if it recurs, when your next payment is due and how to cancel. That information forms part of this contract.
Payments are taken by Stripe. We do not store your card details.
Price changes. We may change our prices. If we change the price of a subscription you are on, we will tell you at least 30 days before the change takes effect, and you can cancel before then if you would rather not continue at the new price. A price change never applies to a period you have already paid for.
8. Renewal, cancellation and refunds
Renewal
Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel. We will remind you before an annual renewal.
How to cancel
Where your product supports it, you can cancel yourself from your Account page. Your Account page shows a cancel option where self-service cancellation is available.
For all other products, email us at [email protected] and tell us what you want to cancel. One email is enough. We do not ask you to give a reason, call us, or take any further step.
A request, not a condition. If you can, please contact us at least 48 hours before your renewal date. That gives us time to action it before the payment goes out. Cancelling closer to your renewal works in exactly the same way, and you are not required to give us any notice.
What happens when you cancel. You keep your access until the end of the period you have already paid for. Cancelling does not cut you off early. At your renewal date your subscription ends and no further payment is taken.
If we are slow to process it. We treat your cancellation as made on the day you contacted us, not the day we action it. Some of our billing is automatic, so if a payment goes out in between we will refund it in full. Let us know if you spot it before we do.
Refunds
We do not offer discretionary refunds. Where a sales page sets out a specific refund or guarantee for a product, that statement applies to that product.
This does not affect your legal rights. As a consumer you have a statutory right to cancel within 14 days of buying. Two things affect how that right works here.
Where you asked for immediate access. If you asked us to give you access straight away, and confirmed at checkout that you understood you would lose your right to cancel once access began, that right ends when your access begins. We ask you to confirm both of these things separately before you pay, and we repeat them in your confirmation email.
Where the 14-day right does apply. If you have used the product during that period, we may deduct an amount proportionate to what you have used, and refund the balance.
9. Our AI tools
Race Advisor includes AI tools. At the time of writing these are the AI Assistant and the Strategy Builder.
We may add, change or withdraw AI tools over time. Part A below applies to every AI tool we offer, including any we introduce after the date at the top of this page. Part B sets out the additional terms that apply to particular tools.
Part A: terms for all our AI tools
You are working with an AI
Our AI tools are artificial intelligence systems, not people. We tell you this in each tool, and each carries a permanent label.
What they run on
Our AI tools currently use Claude, a large language model provided by Anthropic. We may change the model we use. If a change materially reduces what a tool can do for you, we will tell you and you may cancel your subscription and receive a refund of the unused part of your current period.
What they get wrong
Our AI tools can misunderstand what you have asked. They can describe a runner, a price, a race or a result incorrectly. They can state something with confidence that is not true.
The official racecard is always the authority. Check it before you act on anything an AI tool tells you. Nothing they produce is advice, and nothing they produce is a reason to place a bet.
What we store
We keep a record of what you put into our AI tools, and of what you build with them, so that they give you better answers over time.
Your record personalises your own use of the tools. We do not use it to personalise anyone else’s, and we do not use what you put in to train AI models.
What we do learn from. Separately from that, we look at overall patterns across all our users, in a form that does not identify anyone, to decide which features to build and to develop our own racing analysis and products. That means what people are doing in aggregate. We do not single out, copy or resell what any individual has built.
To have what we hold from your use of our AI tools deleted, email us at [email protected]. Our Privacy Policy explains what we store, why, how long we keep it, who processes it, and your rights over it.
Please do not put sensitive personal information, financial details or anything confidential into any of our AI tools.
What you may not do with them
You may not:
- extract, scrape or systematically copy their output;
- send automated or bulk queries to them;
- use their output to train, fine-tune or evaluate any other AI model;
- resell, republish or redistribute their output;
- attempt to make them reveal our underlying ratings, formulae or methods;
- use them to build or assist a competing product.
Who owns what
We do not claim ownership of what you put into our AI tools, or of what you build with them.
Their output may be used for your own personal use. Our AI tools may give similar or identical output to other users asking similar things, so their output is not exclusive to you and we do not warrant that it is original.
What you may not do is redistribute our data, ratings or results as part of anything you share, publish or sell to anyone else. What you design is yours. The data underneath it is ours.
Decisions about you
We do not use our AI tools, or any other automated system, to make decisions about you that produce legal effects or similarly significant consequences for you.
Part B: terms for particular tools
The AI Assistant
The Assistant answers your questions about racecards, races, runners and our own analysis, in plain English.
The data, ratings and analysis are ours. They are produced by our own systems from our own racing data. The Assistant explains that work. It does not perform it, and it does not generate ratings, selections or analysis of its own.
The Strategy Builder
The Strategy Builder helps you build and test systematic approaches using our data.
You build the strategy. We supply the data and the tools. The rules, filters and criteria are your choices. We do not review them, endorse them, or express any view on whether a strategy you build is a good one.
About historical testing. Where the Strategy Builder shows you how a strategy would have performed in the past, treat that figure carefully. Search a large dataset across enough combinations of filters and some of those combinations will show a profit through chance alone. That is a property of searching, not evidence that a strategy works. The harder you tune a strategy to improve its historical numbers, the less those numbers tell you about what happens next.
A strategy that looks good in testing is a starting point for your own judgement, not a result.
How long we keep your strategies. We normally keep the strategies you build for as long as your account is open, including through any period when you do not hold a subscription.
We cannot promise to keep them indefinitely. We may delete saved strategies where there is good reason to, such as a long period of inactivity, technical or operational needs, or your account being closed. We will give you warning where we reasonably can.
We do not offer a backup service, and you should keep your own record of anything you would not want to lose.
10. Racing data
Racing data on Race Advisor is supplied to us by third parties as well as generated by us.
You may use it for your own personal use only. You may not distribute it, supply it onward, sub-licence it or exploit it commercially.
Use of the data is at your own risk. Neither we nor our data suppliers warrant that the supply will be uninterrupted, or that the data will be accurate or complete.
11. Acceptable use
When using Race Advisor, you must not:
- use it for anything unlawful, or in breach of anyone else’s rights;
- copy, redistribute, resell or publish our content, data or tools;
- reverse engineer our tools, ratings or methods;
- use automated means to access, scrape or download from the site;
- interfere with the site’s operation or security;
- share your account access with anyone else.
Behaviour towards our team. We will not tolerate abusive, threatening or harassing behaviour towards our staff, in any channel. Where it happens, we may suspend or close the account, and in serious cases we will involve the police.
12. Intellectual property
Everything on Race Advisor, including our ratings, analysis, tools, text, design and branding, belongs to us or our licensors.
When you register or subscribe, we give you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to use the service and its content for your own private purposes, for as long as your access lasts.
That licence does not let you copy, publish, redistribute, sell or commercially exploit any part of it. It ends when your access ends.
13. Availability and changes to the service
We work to keep Race Advisor running properly, but we do not promise it will always be available or uninterrupted. It may be unavailable for maintenance, or because of problems outside our control.
We may change, improve or withdraw individual features. Where we withdraw a feature you pay for, and that materially reduces the value of your subscription, we will tell you and you may cancel and receive a refund of the unused part of your current period.
14. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or close your account if you breach these terms, if we reasonably suspect fraud or unauthorised access, or if we are required to by law.
Where we do so and you have not breached these terms, we will refund the unused part of your current period.
You may close your account at any time.
15. Our responsibility to you
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit.
Subject to that:
We are not responsible for your betting losses. Race Advisor gives you analysis, data and tools. What you do with them is your decision, betting carries risk, and we accept no liability for money you lose betting, however you came to place the bet. This applies equally to bets placed on a strategy you built using our tools.
Where we are liable to you, that liability is limited to foreseeable loss resulting from us breaking this contract or failing to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for loss that was not foreseeable when you entered into the contract.
Our total liability to you for all claims arising in any 12-month period is limited to the total amount you paid us in that period.
We supply for personal use. If you use Race Advisor for any business purpose, we have no liability to you for loss of profit, loss of business, business interruption or loss of business opportunity.
16. Results and past performance
Where we publish results, records or performance figures, they are what actually happened over the period stated. We do not adjust them and we show losing runs as well as winning ones.
What they cannot tell you is what happens next. A record built over hundreds of bets describes a period that has finished. Yours will be a different period, with different races, different prices and different decisions, and the figures above will not repeat themselves to order.
Any profit and any drawdown we quote are stated at the same staking scale. Read them together. The drawdown is the part that decides whether an approach is one you can actually stay with.
We make no promise that you will make money using Race Advisor, and nothing on this site should be read as one.
17. Safer gambling
Betting should be entertainment you can afford. Set limits before you start, and keep to them.
If gambling is causing you difficulty, the National Gambling Helpline is free, confidential and open 24 hours a day, every day, on 0808 8020 133. You can also reach GamCare at gamcare.org.uk, by live chat or by WhatsApp.
Support for blocking gambling sites and for self-exclusion is available through the same route.
18. Complaints
If something has gone wrong, contact us at [email protected] and we will work to sort it out.
If your complaint is about how we have handled your personal information, we will acknowledge it within 30 days. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
19. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. Where a change materially affects your rights, we will give you at least 30 days’ notice, and you may cancel before it takes effect.
Changes required by law, or that do not affect your rights, may take effect sooner.
The date at the top of this page shows when we last updated it.
20. Governing law
These terms are governed by English law, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
If you live elsewhere in the UK, or in the European Union, you keep the benefit of any mandatory consumer protections of the country you live in, and you may bring proceedings there.
